Why is (almost) everyone buying the AMD Radeon RX 7600 in Bangladesh?

The AMD Radeon RX 7600 has just debuted a few days ago. But it's already being sold out in Bangladesh despite having a steep 10000 BDT price hike for taxes and import fees. But why?

S.I. AMD Radeon RX 7600

Being a great value for money and being significantly cheap from it's predeccseor, consumers are considering this as a killer deal.

Why the RX 7600 is so popular in Bangladesh?

Despite having a minimal performance improvements from it's previous gen counterpart, it's quiet cheap in Bangldesh. The launch price is around 34K to 37K depending on the retailer. And it's predeccesor, RX 6600 is selling for around 40k (even for 48K in some retailers). So, it's a no brainer choice for the consumers to buy the RX 7600 for their primary gaming machine. Having slightly better or similar performance to the RX 6650 XT (which is selling for 48 to 54K BDT), now people can afford a card that can play games with 60 FPS in 1080p resolution even with maxed out settings. So, yes for the price point and considering that the GPU prices are noticibly high in Bangladesh, this GPU can be a good deal. Also the ray tracing performence has been improved by AMD. So that's a plus if you're ready to sacrifice some frames. And if you're considering to play games with RT in regular basis. You should upper your budget or wait for the RTX 4060 (if that's good enough). You can also consider the power consumption as another plus because, the card is expected to pull upto a decent 165W of power. Note that the only model I found in Bangladesh is the Shapphire Pulse Radeon RX 7600, which has a TDP of 185W because of it's higher clock speed than the reference model.

So, people outside Bangladesh aren't considering to buy it because the last gen cards have gotten pretty cheap on ebay or other popular international e-commerce sites.

Is the RX 7600 good for gaming?

Frankly speaking, yep. It's good for 1080p gaming. You can maximize the settings without sacrificing that sweet 60 FPS figure. Though, for the time, it's not a noticible jump from the previous gen mid-range AMD cards.

Check the full review of the RX 7600 from PCMag here.

AMD Infinity cache: 32 MB

Is the RX 7600 worthy for it's price in Bangladesh?

Considering the current GPU market, I'll say yes. Because the price is quite reasonable for it's performance. And you'll get FSR 2. And notice those AI accelerators, AMD can use those AI acceletors for a useful feature in the near feuture. Surely, will they? I don't know. And also did you remember that the performace of the AMD RX 6000 series cards were hugely improved because of the driver optimizations? Sure all other cards do benifit from optimized drivers, but AMD changed the game with their amayzing driver optimizations. The RX 7600 may also benifit from the driver optimizations and change the game. Now all these are predictions. So, only time will tell which card is taking the value-for-money award. I know it sounds funny coz how bad the card launches are happenig for both team red and team green these days. And the only downside with the RX 7600 I'm seeing right now is the small performance improvement over the last gen cards. Which led to dissappoinment amoung may budget seekers.

But overall, you'll get a OK card for the price.
