11 reasons why people aren't upgrading to Windows 11 - TNG Perks

Windows 11 startup

Time is changing, also Windows! Why not? The new Windows 11 is still a trend after 7 months of it's announcement. But almost 83.9% users are still happy with the older Windows versions. Many are upgrading or many wants to stay with 10. But why those people want to stay? Let's find out!

Windows 11 adoption rate is double than Windows 10. But there are some reasons many people are staying on Windows 10 but why?

What are the reasons?

 11) Slow SSD performance.

10) Sometimes the drivers got downgraded! (Or maybe fixed but not on all PC's)

9) Of course, the gaming performance! (Also an older game may create problems)

8) Older programs are not working well.

7) Windows explorer crashes.

6) Some are still happy with Windows 10.

5) Windows security eats up too much resources.

4) Update errors.

3) System requirements and compatibility.

2) Glitches and bugs.

1) Of course, many people don't even know about it!

Discussing about the reasons:

Let's discuss about it's reasons. First, surprising enough that many people don't even know about the new OS. Even it has released almost 4 months ago. Even many of my friends don't even know about Windows 11's existence. That's the main reason. There are still 50% people left to know about this OS. But the situation is changing pretty quickly. But what about those who knows about it? Here those other 10 reasons appears at the stage. When Windows 11 released, it feels like a beta OS released as an official retail version. Too may bugs, crashing was occurring. It was a complete mess. Microsoft was hurrenly releasing fix and updates. But how the users gonna receive those updates? The updater got some faults of it's own! Around the release date, some people were tensing that the Windows ME or Vista disaster will going to happen again. But our good old Microsoft was not going to give up so easily. After some crazy days, Windows 11 is (somehow) stable in the present day. Thanks to it's rapid updates and fixes. But for some reason people still stubborn to stay in Windows 10. Because, they are happy with it. The UI is familiar with them (even the Windows 11 UI is improving and in fact lot better than Windows 10). Also compatibility is another reason. I know, Windows 11 supports x86 applications. But what about the older games. Yes, there are some reports saying that the older games are conflicting with the new HDR rendering feature. Also driver downgrading, crashes (yes it's still happening frequently) etc are still the problems that are annoying the users.

And another thing is I've also tried Windows 11. Yeah, it was a beta release. But still I tried it. What really feels annoying for me? The refresh button, yeah you guess the right. I'm talking about the weird right click menu. Like, what you gonna say about it, there is a new right click menu without the refresh button. But there was "More options" at the bottom of that menu. I clicked on that and what I found was just the old right click menu. And yes, with the refresh button. Many people granted it, but many people felt weird (like me). This was just my opinion. That's just a small example that why many people felt uncomfortable on this new NT environment. So, people still happy with their older Windows OS. But hey, the situation is changing quickly.

There are faults indeed but situations are changing quickly:

The situation is changing. I know that Windows 11 got some noticeable problems. But this is Windows 11 not 10. Every Windows 10 update brings a new bug and for some people, it's terrible! But Windows 11 is a complete inversion of this problem. Every update is really fixing the problems and also the Windows 10 users can upgrade to Windows 11 for free. After some months people are getting used with the UI of Windows 11. Remember I said the market share of Windows 11 was 16.3%? (Windows market share is changing in every moment) Well in January it was worse. Then the market share was only around 8%. So, it means the adaptation rate of Windows 11 is growing 2 times faster. The reasons are simple. First of all, of course the new Android app support feature and secondly the easiest accessibility experience that a Windows user can experience. Many people may say default app changing is mare harder than Windows 10. Don't worry! It's also fixed by and update recently released by Microsoft. There are a ton of new features packed  in Windows 11. You may check it out here. But still, many people want to stick with the decent Windows 10 for some other reasons.

Are you still using Windows 10 or upgraded to Windows 11? Why? Let me know in the comments.
