The year 2021 is...... bumpy...... roller coaster. But for many it's better than the previous 2020. But for technology, it's petty good. So here are the top 10 technology inventions, which can be recalled for the next few years. And the end of this year is perfect time to decide it!
We've seen each inventions of 2021. But which one is the best and which is not. Let's find out!
Disclaimer: this top 10 is based on those inventions, which could be used by everyday users. So some incredible professional workstation and super computer inventions will not be included here.
Top 10 inventions:
10) Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti.
9) Forza Horizon 5.
8) Google Android 12.
7) Asus ROG 5.
6) Google Pixel 6.
5) Microsoft Windows 11.
4) DDR5 Memory type.
3) PCIe 5.0.
2) Intel Core i9 12900K.
1) *Surprise*
10) Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti:
The RTX 3080 is a great card for those who wanted the overpriced RTX 2080 Ti. But then it's Ti edition just got some blowing performance. It can nearly give the performance of a RTX 3090. But in a cheaper MSRP. But for the current situation, many people can't enjoy this performance on the expected price. But this is a great decision taken by Nvidia for those who wanted a cheaper edition of the RTX 3090. Sorry guys, but you can't afford this treat.
9) Forza Horizon 5:
8) Google Android 12:
"Hey, this OS is just a revolution." People who are using the latest smartphones can say this about Android 12. The biggest feature of this OS is application hibernation. It's simple but looks really good with the dark theme. Android 12 also introduces a new system settings screen that displays location access history, camera, and microphone data. Android 12 introduces new permissions that allow apps to scan nearby Bluetooth devices without requesting location permissions. But it got some annoying glitches and bugs that may cause app crashes. But it's improvements are the spotlight not the problems.
7) Asus ROG 5:
This phone is just insane for Android gamers. It's predecessor Asus ROG 3 was the best phone in the year 2020. This phone also comes with insane hardware specifications. For the first time we can have 18 GB RAM on a smartphone thanks to Asus. It's basic edition can easily run heavy games with some solid frames per second. Also the ROG UI is cool. But unfortunately, it's true that it's the most powerful Android phone yet. But it can't jump the performance of iPhone 13. And the price is also reasonable, but it cannot be afforded by the budget smartphone byers as before they could afford the ROG 3. But still, it's one of the milestone phone we can remember.
6) Google Pixel 6:
This phone is a dope for normal users. This place could be written for ASUS ROG 5. But if the performance was the pirority. But people want more accessible UI but in a easy way. It's true that ROG UI is more customizable, but it's not as easy (also optimised) as Google Pixel 6. It also got better battery, performance and OS. But there is some problems with this phone. Like the unreliable finger print sensor, can't charge with cheaper charging cables etc. But overall it's a great leap from it's predecessor.
DDR5 Memory type is a new memory type started it's journey few days ago. But it's design, power efficiency and performance is just awesome thanks to it dual 64 bit memory bus. Which is a great leap from DDR4. The power efficiency is also great. It requires 1.1V power. Which was 1.2V for DDR4. Also it got a huge maximum die size (64 GB). Finally, with some more good engineering tricks, it become a great memory standard for next-gen computer users. Productivity and gaming will be more faster than ever. Thanks tp Intel Alder Lake CPU's, we can use it. But it's pretty costly for normal users. So, as the time passes, DDR5 RAM modules will be more cheaper.
PCIe gen 5.0 was originally released in 2019. But due to lack of supporting CPUs, it's full potential cannot be used until late 2021. Of course, Alder Lake CPU is the fine shot and Intel did a very good job by bringing support these technologies. Now let's talk about this so called PCIe gen 5.0. The most significant jump is the bandwidth and the power delivery, the bandwidth is 2 times faster then it's predecessor. With a massive bandwidth of 128 GB/s, it's ready to power up the next-gen GPUs full potentiality. Also the boosting PCIe gen 5.0s power connectors can deliver the hungry Nvidia 40 series GPUs. Overall it's a great leap to deserve the number 3 spot.
DDR5, PCIe gen 5.0, all these technologies entered in the market thanks to Intel Core i9 12900K. Of course, this is the first spectacular jump. But another big evolution is the P and E cores. The P core means performance core and the E core means efficiency core. And the difference of the pirority core idea is great. And yeah, a trouble for AMD. But that's later, now we can just say Intel learned from their mistakes and come back with this mind blowing product lineup. But the power consumption is still a problem, but not so intensive as the 11th gen Intel CPU lineup.
Acer Chromebook Spin 713, might not be familiar with the most normal people. But believe me, it is a great premium chromebook despite it's design. Don't get me wrong, it's a great design. But it's a basic genuine design, which many people don't want. But it just it's only downside. All of the other features just deserves the spotlight. The specifications, battery life, performance, price are just perfect fit for a premium chromebook user. And it's easy to use UI just make it the best in it's own merit. What else can I say? It's a very good chromebook. If you're looking for a premium chromebook, I or anyone will give you this chromebook as a suggestion. So, it deserves the number one spot.
